Pamela Hornsby-Irvin graduated from Forest Park Community College with an Associate in Applied Science degree in Early Childhood Education and has a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Project Management, and is currently pursing a Master’s in Education. She was a Substitute teacher for the St. Louis Charter Schools, St. Louis Public Schools, and taught for the Head Start Program. Her passion for instructing children has become an everlasting endeavor. She loves educating the little ones by utilizing a multitude of learning media. Her love for children’s books began while teaching pre-school age children. She understands the relevance of children learning to read and developing advanced vocabularies at an early age. She is a mother and grandmother raised in St. Louis, MO and is the youngest of four children. She is also a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated, Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society and Sigma Alpha Phi National Society of Leadership and Success. Pamela Hornsby-Irvin is also member of the St. Louis Black Authors of Children’s Literature Initiative, the St. Louis Suburban Council of the International Reading Association ,and the African America Author Literacy Awareness Campaign. As of March 2018 she hosts an Internet Radio broadcast “ItsyBitsyBookworms Radio” which is now available world-wide, and it’s all about the kids!
